#S96 Central Baltic Fashion Seed (CBFSeed)

Policy Area Innovation – Exploiting the full potential of the region in research, innovation and SME, utilising the Digital Single Market as a source for attracting talents and investments

The main project idea aims at combining the knowledge of the Finnish and Swedish fashion industry about sustainable fashion design with the Estonian and Latvian emerging fashion industry. While the Estonian and Latvian fashion designers lack business skills and knowledge on access to Nordic markets, the Finnish and Swedish designers need to gain more knowledge about challenges inherent in introducing sustainable fashion practices. The objective is to create a Central Baltic cluster on sustainable fashion and a programme bringing together and enhancing the exchange of knowledge of young and established fashion business, technologists and financiers. The project can built on an existing network from previous projects (e.g. Baltic Fashion). Offspring can be new transnational companies. In addition, the project aims at raising awareness and interest in sustainable fashion and conducting a pilot with companies of the Chinese fashion industry.
