#S53 The Baltic Sea History Project – creating sustainable social cohesion (The Baltic Sea History Project)

Priority Area Culture – Developing and promoting the common culture and cultural identity

The Baltic Sea History Project is the first effort to create a collective view on history and culture in a European region. It aims at creating a web based platform for history. The project’s user generated content addresses in particular young people. That way, the young generation will overcome nationally confined perceptions of history and intercultural carriers. The project contributes to the formation of a Baltic Sea Region identity by supporting a common perception on history.
