PA Innovation – Exploiting the full potential of the region in research and innovation

Power electronics is a key enabling technology for more efficiency in both production and consumption of electricity. The main project will aim at leveraging the full potential of semiconductor-based power electronics for promoting green energy with improved conversion and distribution of wind and solar energy. Its special focus area is advancement of power circuit elements with new materials such as silicon carbide or gallium nitride. The main project will aim at bringing together key stakeholders from various technology disciplines within power electronics, wind and solar energy in the Baltic Sea Region. This multi-disciplinary approach is complemented by involving relevant partners from the innovation ecology along the supply chain from R&D institutions, SMEs, innovation policy and business development.
